1934-2013

For those of you who knew our Dad, he was a husband to our mother for 54 years this June, father of 4, grandfather of 9, a comedian to all, and a great friend to everyone who crossed his path.
Dennis A. King, SR. passed away this morning, May 16th, peacefully at the age of 79. While overlooking the Redondo sunrise with the fog rolling in off Puget Sound, a foghorn from the lighthouse sounded 3 times in a spiritual departure as he took his last breath.
He battled a yearlong fight against pancreatic cancer. His wishes were to leave with honor & dignity, leaving this world a better place for future generations. He loved his community and everyone in it by serving with his friends at Kiwanis of Puyallup.

 At the 2013 National Championships, for those judges who have a "B" Commission, there will be opportunities to trial judge and be mentored by National Judges to help refine your judging skills. Limited opportunities for "C" commissioned judges based on abailable openings.

No opportunity to take a "B" or "C" judges test?
That opportunity will exist at the National Championships also.

KYLEE BERGER Kylee Berger of Camano Island, WA will be representing the United States of America in the 2013 World Games to be held in Cali, Colombia this July. She qualified for the World Games by virtue of her placement in the World Class Women's Free Skating event at the 2012 World Championships in Auckland, New Zealand. Kylee is a versatile athlete who has been a member of Team USA in the Junior and Senior World Championships from 2004-2009, 2011-2012 in two separate disciplines; Pairs and Free Skating. Her talents weave her athleticism, elegance, style and grace on the competitive arena. This tenacious young woman is also majoring in Cellular, Molecular Developmental Biology. USA Roller Sports sends all the best to Kylee and all that she pursues in sport and life.

I noticed Kylee posted this on Facebook and so I thought I would share it on NWLinks. This is Trace Hansen and Kylee when they were skating pairs at Worlds.She says she misses skating pairs.

JOHN SOUZA UPDATE May 18
Got the results of the lungs test, if I was confused before, I am more confused. The Dr just called and said that so far the result that he has show that it looks OK, but I have to have another CT Scan in six weeks and possibly another Bronalscope after that. Yesterday we went to see the VA about covering some of the expenses. So the first appointment I could get with their Drs. is June the 3rd, so that means more waiting. All I want is to have someone to get rid of the Cancer and the quicker the better. I am so tired of waiting around while this thing is growing in my leg.

Finally a little ray of sunshine. After the Lung Dr. looked down in my lungs, he took some samples of some tissue and it doesn't look like cancer. Will know in a couple days. But things are look good right now

JOHN SOUZA UPDATE: May 9
Yesterday, I went to see the Lung Dr. He showed me the CT Scan that was made a couple of weeks ago. I seems that there is something in the lungs that he want to go in and look at. So that is schedule for Friday morning. To day I had an appointment with this whizz kid of Dr about my leg. A lot of more questions and no answers. Everything depends and this other whizz kid of Dr in Boston that is the expert on cancers and what he finds. I am getting tired of the sameness of my life, Dr visits and hospital.
